The materials and methods used are descriptive in nature with a qualitative approach. That is, data collection and processing were carried out through bibliographic literature, adopting the methodology proposed by Iván Mendoza Montesdeoca in relation to the reality of the study object. The results obtained are based on the construction of an efficient and competitive destination. In this regard, the findings suggest that the territory has adequate infrastructure and internal control mechanisms that enable the effective development of tourism activities. These approaches include: the developmental approach, characterized by its traditional nature and the adoption of processes from other territories; the economic approach, which prioritizes an export-oriented ideology; the physical approach, focused on identifying suitable activities for the territory as an attraction, product, or tourist destination; and the community-based approach, which highlights the cultural and social development of local communities.
2025-04-20T00:00:00-05:00Copyright (c) 2025 Miguel Briones-Pacheco, Elieser Soliz-Quirozhttps://revistas.unaaa.edu.pe/index.php/unaaaciencia/article/view/96Challenges and strategies for smart tourism management in the city of Calceta through the design of a virtual tourist guide2025-07-08T08:22:25-05:00Yadira Beatriz Párraga-Basurtoyparraga@espam.edu.ecÁngel Guillermo Félix-Mendozaafelix@espam.edu.ecLuis Alberto Zambrano-Uretaluiszambrano@espam.edu.ecJosé Luis Zambrano-Alcívarjlzambrano@espam.edu.ec
This research aims to promote the development and smart management of tourism in the city of Calceta through the adoption of technological tools for strategic data analysis. The research was exploratory, non-experimental, and qualitatively and quantitatively focused. It consisted of three stages: starting with a situational assessment, narrowing the study area, examining tourism management limitations, and identifying institutional and political issues. In the second stage, the tourism offering was identified using a tourism resource inventory and a registry of tourist establishments. In the third stage, strategies for smart tourism management were defined, applying the 5w2h matrix. The study presents the following relevant results: Tourism activity presents problems that limit its development capacity; the level of tourism management is affected by a lack of technical preparation, low budget allocation, and outdated baseline information. A total of five tourist resources and attractions were identified, highlighting the El Perezoso Agrotourism Farm and the Sixto Durán Ballén Dam. A total of 37 tourist establishments were recognized (10) accommodation, (17) catering and beverages and (10) leisure and recreation; 29 cultural heritage sites were found.
2025-04-20T00:00:00-05:00Copyright (c) 2025 Yadira Beatriz Párraga-Basurto, Ángel Guillermo Félix-Mendoza, Luis Alberto Zambrano-Ureta, José Luis Zambrano-Alcívarhttps://revistas.unaaa.edu.pe/index.php/unaaaciencia/article/view/88Contribution of Tourism Entrepreneurship to the SDGs in Manabí, Ecuador: Focus on Sustainability and Inclusive Growth2025-07-01T08:12:33-05:00Yomara Quintero-Ichazoyoquichazo@gmail.comNelson Garcia-Reinosongarcia@espam.edu.ec
Tourism entrepreneurship in Manabí, Ecuador, faces significant challenges in contributing to sustainable development, particularly in fulfilling SDG 8, which focuses on decent work and economic growth. This study aimed to analyze how tourism enterprises contribute to job creation, economic dynamism, and cultural preservation in the region. A quantitative approach was employed, based on structured surveys conducted with 384 tourism entrepreneurs selected through probabilistic sampling. The collected data were analyzed using statistical tools to measure key indicators aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals. The results reveal significant contributions of tourism to local employment and the strengthening of the regional economy, although challenges persist, such as rising prices of goods and services, urban congestion, and limited capacity to reduce migration. These findings highlight the need for comprehensive strategies that integrate economic, social, and environmental sustainability. The study concludes that tourism entrepreneurship can play a key role in the sustainable development of the region, provided inclusive policies are implemented to mitigate negative impacts and enhance benefits.
2025-04-20T00:00:00-05:00Copyright (c) 2025 Yomara Quintero-Ichazo, Nelson Garcia Reinosohttps://revistas.unaaa.edu.pe/index.php/unaaaciencia/article/view/119Execution of tourism expenditure and its impact on the economic development (GDP) of the San Martín region between 2009 and 2017 2025-07-25T23:14:42-05:00Magda Ushiñahua-Ushiñahuamgushinahua@unsm.edu.pekhunji Marilyn Alarcón-Jiménezkmalarconj@unsm.edu.peAníbal Pinchi-Vásquezpinvas1960@unsm.edu.peJerris Rojas-Velajrojasv@unsm.edu.peRoselinda Solano-Reáteguirsolano@unsm.edu.pe
The research aimed to determine the impact of tourism expenditures on economic growth (GDP) in the San Martín Region between 2009 and 2017. The study was comparative and descriptive, with a sample comprised of nine analysis periods. A documentary analysis guide was used for data collection. The results revealed that, in the initial periods, tourism expenditures were below the Institutional Opening Budget (PIA); however, from 2012 to 2016, a balance was observed, with amounts allocated ranging from S/. 2,409,386.00 as the minimum and maximum. Regarding economic growth, a positive trend was identified, starting from the first period with a total of S/. 3,740,600.00, reflecting a sustained increase driven by activities such as agriculture, livestock, hunting and forestry, manufacturing, commerce, public administration, lodging, and restaurants. Through the application of Pearson's statistical test, it was concluded that the impact of tourism expenditure on the GDP of the San Martín Region was neither significant nor positive, indicating the influence of other factors on said growth.
2025-04-20T00:00:00-05:00Copyright (c) 2025 Magda Ushiñahua-Ushiñahua, khunji Marilyn Alarcón-Jiménez, Aníbal Pinchi-Vásquez, Jerris Rojas-Vela, Roselinda Solano-Reáteguihttps://revistas.unaaa.edu.pe/index.php/unaaaciencia/article/view/94Analysis of Zofratacna and its impact on the development of the Tacna region, period 2007 - 2019 2025-07-03T23:10:33-05:00Randyk Jusev Guzman-Mezarandyguzman5@gmail.com
ZofraTacna has great tax and customs benefits for companies incorporated within its facilities. However, the true impact of said area on the economy has not been demonstrated. The objective of the study was to analyze the impact of ZofraTacna on the social-economic development of the Tacna Region, using statistical data on GDP, Economically Active Employed Population, Per capita Income and companies installed in the area. The methodology was explanatory and non-experimental, transversal in design. The data collection instruments used were the interview guide and the questionnaire. The statistical test applied corresponded to Pearson and OLS. It was determined that the independent variables influence GDP growth by 80%, highlighting the role of ZOFRATACNA as an economic engine and job generator. However, the region did not achieve adequate development between 2007-2019. Although ZofraTacna has an impact of 77.32% on economic development, the Regional Government of Tacna participates limitedly in its promotion, which restricts the use of available tax and customs benefits. It concludes with the need for more effective strategies to enhance ZofraTacna as a key tool for the sustainable development of the region.
2025-04-20T00:00:00-05:00Copyright (c) 2025 Randyk Jusev Guzman-Meza
