The research characterized the job performance of administrative staff at a public university in the Peruvian Amazon. Using a non-experimental descriptive design, a survey was applied to 74 workers (16 teachers, 30 administrative staff, and 28 service personnel) to evaluate job competencies, organizational behavior, and job satisfaction. Descriptive analysis shows that 83.3% of administrative staff have sufficient cognitive mastery, 93.3% effectively use their skills, and 80% use their creativity at work. Additionally, 96.7% make timely decisions and 83.3% use new technologies. In terms of organizational behavior, 100% meet their job responsibilities, and 83.3% consider their colleagues' job performance favorable. Job satisfaction is high, with 80% satisfied with their work and 73.3% with their colleagues' performance. The conclusions indicate that although job performance is generally positive, there are areas for improvement, especially in collaboration and the practice of organizational culture. It is recommended to promote collaboration and improve communication to increase job satisfaction and performance.
