Lack of knowledge of labor regulations has been identified as a factor that increases the violation of labor rights, affecting the welfare of workers and the sustainability of companies. The objective of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge of labor regulations and labor rights violations among workers in MSMEs in the restaurant industry in Tarapoto, Peru. The research was developed under a quantitative approach, with a non-experimental, correlational and cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 34 workers selected by non-probabilistic judgmental sampling. Structured questionnaires validated with a Cronbach's Alpha above 0.80 were used. The results revealed that 91% of the workers had a good level of knowledge of the regulations, while 79% considered that their labor rights were not violated. Pearson's correlation analysis showed a coefficient of 0.560 (p=0.001), indicating a moderate and significant positive relationship between the two variables. It is concluded that a greater knowledge of the regulations contributes to reducing the violation of labor rights. It is recommended that training and supervision programs be implemented in companies to strengthen the protection of workers' rights.
