Virtual classes during the years 2020 and 2021 have had negative consequences on the development of skills of technical nursing students in educational institutions at the regional and national level. Given this situation, there is a need to investigate the impact of Tik Tok as a didactic tool in the development of skills related to the measurement of vital signs in students of the Technical Nursing program of the IESTP "La Merced". The methodology was applied with an explanatory approach and pre-experimental design. The population consisted of 102 students, and as a sample 22 participants selected for convenience. A rubric was used to evaluate the results and the MINITAB software for data analysis and processing. The results of the study showed significant improvements in the categories of "achieved" or "outstanding" skills in the data collection during the exit test. Evidenced in the "p" value of 0.000 in the hypothesis test of difference of proportions with a confidence of 95% using the Gaussian distribution. Concluding that the constant practices carried out by the students, for the recording of the protocols for the measurement of vital signs of their occasional patients, have allowed the improvement and development of said skills.
